FUTURE EVENTS

6th February 2010 - 10am - 12pm- Leicester Sands Annual General Meeting / coffee morning at The Friends Meeting House, Queens Road. The official meeting should take about 20-30 minutes, but please feel free to come along for a coffee and cake. Children are welcome.

18th March 2010 - Sands Pregnancy Loss Training for Health Professionals. Contact us for further information

June 2010- Various fund-raising / awareness raising coffee mornings taking place throughout June, which is Sands awareness month. Dates and venues to be confirmed.

19th June 2010 - Sands service of remembrance at The Holy Trinity Church. Details to be confirmed.

PAST EVENTS - 2009

As well as continuing to support bereaved families, we began to work towards raising local awareness around the taboo subject of stillbirth and neonatal death. We also held 2 "Pregnancy Loss Training" session for Health Professionals, which we are delighted to say has been very well received by all those who attended.

On the fundraising side, a great number of supporters have worked really hard and raised a lot of money for us to spend locally. We would like to say a very big thank you to all of you who baked and bought cakes in support of the various coffee mornings. And a massive thank you to the energetic few who raised generous funds for us having taken part in the London Marathon, Leicester Half Marathon and Big Fun Run!
